Gluten Free Eating at the Jersey Shore
August 14, 2017We are Family: Running for a Celiac Cure
October 13, 2017If you are like me and looking to help the gluten free community in affected by Hurricane Harvey in Houston, here’s how! I reached out to the Chairman of the Houston Celiac Support Group, Janet Rinehart. She reported the Houston Food Bank is recommending gluten free food donations be sent directly to the Gulf Coast Community Services Association (GCCSA) in Houston. GCCSA offers a variety of social services including a food pantry is was the recipient of the Houston Food Bank “Bandini Award” for Outstanding Food Pantry. The pantry has a dedicated shelf for for gluten free and special diets clients.
I spoke with Sue Garcia, Coordinator of the Food Pantry at GCCSA. She said they would be extremely grateful for any gluten free food donations. Please mark donations Attention: Sue Garcia and “Gluten Free Food” on the box. She will be sure to get the items in the gluten free food section of the pantry. Thank you for your help!

You could also order from Vitacost or Amazon & have the food sent directly to avoid paying for shipping fees.
Thank you, that’s a great suggestion. If ordering from a vendor please have them put in the notes section that it is gluten free food so they will shelve it accordingly.
