My birthdays have gotten a little sweeter in recent history thanks to the addition of Harmony Bakery in Hampden. This 100% gluten free bakery sings my song with not only sweet but savory items like quiches, tarts and flatbreads made with organic ingredients. Bonus, not only is everything gluten free but vegan as well.

On the most recent anniversary of my 29th birthday, my family surprised me with a smorgasbord from Harmony. On the menu: mini-quiches with tomato, artichoke, spinach and cashew cheese. We also dug into flatbreads with hummus and roasted veggies.

The birthday cake they created was (almost) too beautiful to eat: chocolate cake with strawberry icing. While I was swooning over it's beauty, it was the flavor that has me still thinking about it. It was so moist, with such a rich, chocolate flavor. This cake is free from a lot but not deliciousness!

Whether you are vegan, dairy free or gluten free - or none of the above- Harmony's food is a fabulous way to indulge using high-quality, plant-based ingredients. That's what I call living in Harmony.
